Sharon Lee – Headteacher

I love working in early years and realised that this was my passion after having my second child and helping out in her nursery where I then worked as a teacher for nine years.

It wasn’t long until I started on a path of study and completed many qualifications until studying for my B.A. Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies in 2006. I was also one of the first set of students to gain Early Years Professional Status in February 2007.

I took over as Headteacher of FRS Kindergarten in January 1998 and developed with my staff team a very good 24 place nursery into a 60 place outstanding nursery.

I moved to open Shofar in September 2015 as I knew this kind of provision was sadly lacking in the Reform Jewish Community. Since opening in January, together with my staff team I hope that we have developed this into an exciting fabulous provision for babies and children to play and learn and develop their skills and love of Reform Judaism.

We have found that within a few months of opening Shofar is now full and we are filled with excitement for the future.
