Nora Rethu – Te’enah Room Leader (Baby Room)

My name is Nora, I am the room leader in Te’enah, the baby room in Shofar. I have over 8 years’ experience working with children. I started my journey as an au-pair, then worked my way through being a babysitter, nanny and finally a nursery teacher. Children are my passion, I simply love them and this is why I decided that this job is the right one for me. Over the years, I have attended many courses to gain knowledge and to be able to understand children more and in different areas, and I have a Level 3 in Childcare. I will be continuing to learn more, as I believe you can never have too much knowledge.

I am highly motivated by creating a positive environment in which the children can thrive. I pride myself on creating an enabling and stimulating environment in our play spaces, to help the children to learn through play and exploration and to encourage development in all areas of their learning. I love setting up different educational activities, especially messy play; where children’s senses are stimulated. Seeing the children reach their milestones is priceless, and knowing that we have supported them with this makes this job so rewarding. I am friendly, cheerful and eager to help people, especially children. I am honest and trustworthy with a good sense of humour and am very calm and patient and love working in partnership with our parents to provide the best possible care and learning experience for our babies.
